Marshall Gause
Mr. Gause has over 16 years of institutional portfolio management experience in equities, options, and commodities. He began his career in 1993 as a delta neutral clerk with Nations Bank/Chicago Research & Trading. In 1996, Mr. Gause started Global Risk Management, which developed statistical arbitrage and pattern recognition software programs. In 1997, Mr. Gause started the derivatives trading desk for Con Agra Grain Cos. and was responsible for exchange-traded and over-the-counter options activities. In 2001 Mr. Gause founded Geneva Capital Management, LLC a Registered Investment Advisor. In 2004, Mr. Gause served as Managing Director, Senior Portfolio Manager for the Geronimo family of hedge and mutual funds. Mr. Gause holds a BA in Finance from Bethel University and the Series 3, 7, 24, 55, and 66 licenses.
Susan Sjo
Ms. Susan Sjo is Managing Director of Geneva Fund Partners. In addition to serving as Managing Director of Geneva Fund Partners, Ms. Sjo is Founder and CEO/CIO of St. Esprit Research and Trading. Prior to forming St. Esprit, Ms. Sjo managed STACK Capital, LLC, her Family Office. From 1987to 1998, she founded and built Sjo, Inc., a Hedge Fund Manager and CTA with over $350 million under management.
Sjo, Inc. was ranked by assets in the top100 CTA’s and often ranked in the top 10 Trading Firms for performance. She started her career as a Junior Economist with the Federal Reserve Bank before working at several prominent trading firms specializing in fixed income arbitrage. During this time, she developed a quantitative trading program that resulted in the development of Sjo, Inc., a Global Macro Fund Manager.
Her successes resulted in being named to Crain’s Annual Young Leaders List, 40 Under 40, Sjo, Inc., and her firm Best Commodity Fund Manager in 1991 by Business Week. Susan has served on the Board of Directors of the New York Board of Trade, the New York Cotton Exchange, the Advisory Board of the FINEX Exchange, the Managed Funds Association, Barat College, and the environmental charity, Sustain.
Erin O’Connell
Ms. O’Connell spent the last 25 years being a premier provider of financial services and product. Erin started her career with Salomon Smith Barney where she managed the daily repo positions for the mortgage desk in Chicago which was the top global revenue producing office during her tenure there. She spent over ten years as a Broker/Trader in the Eurodollar pit for Fuji Bank at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and participated on the Eurodollar Back Months and International Monetary Market Membership committees.
Her institutional experience continued at First Union Bank in which she was a financial advisor for High Net Worth and Family Offices. Ms. O’Connell has spent the last several years as a Risk Manager for Effective Trading LLC, a proprietary trading group. Additionally, during this time she has acted as a consultant to a number of Introducing Brokers and Futures Clearing Merchants.
